International Football Caps, Boy's Own Paper

I am sure that I have already shown that print... but it's well worth another posting!
This 1920s Boy's Own Paper poster displays main International caps (both rugby and association football). I don't know why French and "colonial" caps are far older (1905, 1906, 1907) than the others..

The dates on the New Zealand and South Africa caps become even more mysterious when you look at http://www.rugbydata.com/ - a great site that appears to have the score of every international rugby match ever played.
South Africa didn't play a single game in 1907, and New Zealand only played one in 1906 - against France on 1st January, at the end of a tour of Europe. According to RugbyData.com, that was France's first ever international match.
I guess the dates are just a bit of "artistic licence".

Hello Freddy!

Or was that a subtle way of asking, "Why is there never any women's rugby memorabilia?"..?

If anyone is interested please check out my website featuring a gallery of international caps and honours caps:
http://internationalcaps.webs.com/
Please note that I do not sell caps, nor indeed sell anything, I just enjoy collecting the photos and compiling data. It's just a hobby of mine.
If you or anyone you know are able to contribute to the site by supplying me with some photos or data about caps please 'Contact Me' at the appropriate page on my website.
I hope the info is of interest to you.
Thanks.
Mike.
