France won the "VI Nations" : let's have a drink !

France defeated Wales yesterday and set for VI nations glory...!
I am not going to comment the match. Let just say that the Red Devils proved convincing rugby while the Frenchies were quite lucky...
French secret recipe for luck ? a glass a red wine straight out of the barrel... ! As per the great cover page from French magazine "Le Petit Journal" dated 1930... caption reads "LE BON VIN DE FRANCE PORTE CHANCE - L'équipe française de rugby se prépare à battre l'équipe d'Irlande en trinquant avec du vin apporté de chez nous" (*)
Actually a dark period for French rugby... strong team on the pitch, but a social context exacerbing violence and chauvinism around rugby... the following year (1931), the International Board will ban France from all competitions... untill 1947...
(*) approximate translation : THE GOOD WINE FROM FRANCE BRINGS LUCK - the French rugby team getting prepared to defeat the Irish team by drinking wine brought from home
