Le Football de Salon

       
The print that made me start collecting...

My friend Damien, who is a real pro in collecting vintage advertising print, spotted this great early XXth century print at Drouot
auction house three years ago... He urged me to place a bid (something
I have never done before... neither "the in real world" nor online)...
I was lucky enough to get it (fairly expensive by my standards, I
remember...) and since then I am looking to expand my collection by all
means... hence this website...

Actually the title of the print is somehow mysterious ("le Football de
salon" or "the drawing-room Football" or "el Football de salon"). What
does it mean ? why in French, English and Spanish ? no clue ! Having
said that, it's a large (60x40cm), colorful and living rugby scene...
it is mounted and framed in my living room...
